Originally constructed in 1971 the Waco Convention Center was upgraded to include a total of 144,000 square feet under roof. As a $17.5 million dollar multi-phase construction project the Waco Convention Center was able to maintain daily operations through coordination efforts by the Waco Convention Center staff and Roth Construction. Located next to the scenic Brazos River the Convention Center project included a complete exterior upgrade with additions of multi-level terraces; prefunction areas; City Council Chambers; modern commercial kitchen; and renovations of 32,000 sf exhibit hall, 15,000 sf exhibit hall, 14,165 sf ballroom and multiple meeting rooms.
